in place는 기본적으로 ‘적절한’, ‘바로 사용할 수 있는’이라는 뜻
영영 뜻; to exist and be capable of being used

그래서 have something in place --> ‘구비해 놓다’ 정도!

Ex 1) We didn’t have the systems in place to deal with so many orders.
그렇게 많은 주문을 처리할 수 있는 시스템을 구비해놓고 있지 않다

Ex 2) We need to “put” safeguards “in place” to prevent this type of accident occurring again.
이런 사고가 다시 일어나는 걸 방지하기 위해  안전 요원을 구비해놓을 필요가 있다
